How to properly heat wax

Using a wax warmer ensures your wax reaches the right temperature for safe, effective hair removal. If you’re using our WUWU wax warmer, you’re already equipped with a reliable tool that offers precise heat control and consistent melting. But to get professional-level results at home, it's crucial to know exactly how to use it.

Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide on how to heat your wax beads properly using our WUWU wax warmer.

Before you begin, choose a clean, flat surface for your warmer.  Make sure the area is free of moisture, away from children or pets, and near an electrical outlet.

You’ll need:

♡ WUWU Wax warmer

♡ Smooth & Silky wax beans

♡ Wooden or silicone spatula

♡ WUWU Post epilation lotion

♡ WUWU Soothing & calming mask

Pour your chosen wax beans directly into the removable pot of the wax warmer. For small areas like the upper lip or underarms, a small amount (about a quarter of the pot) will be enough. For larger areas like legs or arms, fill it at least halfway.

Turn on the wax warmer and set the dial to the highest temperature. Let the wax fully melt. This typically takes about 10–15 minutes for a half-full pot.

Once the wax has melted into a smooth, honey-like consistency, reduce the temperature to the working level - typically between 60-75°C (140-167°F). This will keep the wax warm and spreadable without being too hot for the skin.

Always do a patch test before applying the wax to your skin. Use a spatula to scoop a small amount and apply it to the inside of your wrist.

The wax should feel warm but never uncomfortably hot. If it stings or burns, allow it to cool for a minute, stir, and test again.

Throughout your waxing session, the wax warmer will maintain the wax at your set temperature. Stir occasionally to keep the texture even and avoid hot spots.

If the wax begins to thicken too much, slightly increase the dial until it returns to a soft, honey-like consistency.

Once you’re done:

♡ Turn off the wax warmer and unplug it.

♡  Allow the leftover wax to cool and harden if you plan to reuse it.

♡ Use a paper towel to wipe the inside of the pot while it’s still warm—never pour hot wax down the drain.

♡ Apply WUWU post epilation lotion, if needed, use the WUWU soothing & calming mask on the wax area as well.
